Adrian Farmer receives Golden West Scholarship
WALL, SOUTH DAKOTA: Adrian Farmer is the recipient of one of 45 total Golden West $1,000 Scholarships for 2016.
A 2016 graduate of Lower Brule High School, he was selected for a number of merit-based qualities including leadership, academic achievement, civic and extracurricular activities, and the motivation to serve and succeed.
Adrian’s activities included basketball, football, choir and Native American Club. He plans to attend Black Hills State University or United Tribes Technical College this fall.
“The 2016 scholarship recipients are all outstanding students with a great deal of potential,” said Denny Law, general manager/CEO of Golden West Telecommunications. “We are excited to support their educational and career goals and look forward to their accomplishments as future leaders.”
The Golden West Scholarships are annual awards established to promote educational opportunity for students within the Golden West service area. The Wall-based company has awarded over 700 scholarships since the program began in 1999.
