What are the domain contacts?

There are 4 domain name contacts on the domain record these are Registrant, Administrative, Billing and Technical. The responsibility to keep these current are the responsibility of the domain owner. Renewal notices are emailed to the registrant and billing contacts, update these if your email address should change at any time.

Registrant
The Registrant is the person or business leasing the domain name, the registration contact is the official owner of the domain and will override the other contacts.

Administrative
The Administrative contact is the contact person for administrative, non-technical matters, such as legal matters, change of ownership, etc.
Billing
The billing contact is the person designated to receive the invoice for domain name renewal fees. If the billing contact fails to pay the renewal invoice for a domain name, the domain name may be lost and purchased by someone else.

Technical
The technical contact is a representative of the internet service provider or domain hosting company. This is the contact person for the domain's technical matters.

If you have a domain name registered you may be able to see the contacts listed by performing a WHOIS search at Network Solutions Whois.
