  • Engbarth Directional Drilling is plowing southeast of town along Highway 42, headed east.

July 15, 2021

  • Travis Electric has completed hanging clamshells on homes and businesses in the Canistota exchange. If you are a Golden West customer and have not received a call from them, please call 1-855-888-7777 and ask for the engineering department.
  • Engbarth Directional Drilling is burying cable south of Lake Vermillion near 451st Ave.

June 17, 2021

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling is finishing with pulling cables through the vacant duct to customer homes in town.
  • Rural construction is underway along 259th Street northeast of town, heading back toward 446th Avenue.

June 10, 2021

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling (EDD) will finish plowing lines to individual premises, or drops, in the coming week. Crews are pulling cables into the duct that has been buried in town.
  • EDD has moved to the rural part of the exchange, plowing along 450th Avenue. They will move to 261st Street, then head back toward town.

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling (EDD) has completed plowing main line cable in town. They are currently working on cleanup.
  • EDD has started construction in the rural part of the exchange. They began work on 261st Street, heading east.

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling (EDD) has completed plowing main line cable in town. Cable splicers are now working to connect the fibers throughout town.
  • EDD expects to begin construction in the rural part of the Canistota exchange next week.

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling (EDD) has completed plowing main line cable in town. The crews are pulling cable in the buried duct. They expect to be done with work in town later in May.

  • Last week EDD finished pulling main line fibers through the buried duct in town.
  • Canistota residents will also see crews placing large gray boxes, or handholes, in the ground.

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling and their subcontractors will continue to work in the north west corner of town, burying mainline duct (pipe for mainline cable) and drop duct (pipe to customer premises). They will move next to the south part of town.

  • Construction work has been concentrated in the northwest part of Canistota due to the wet conditions in the other parts of town.

  • Engbarth Directional Drilling will finish burying mainline orange duct in the area shown in blue on the map (Construction Area 1), then move their equipment to the area shown in purple (Construction Area 2).

 April 1, 2021

  • Construction is underway in the town of Canistota. Engbarth Directional Drilling will be starting work along Railway Avenue from Oak Street to Main Street, then will move east along Main Street to East Street. They will proceed north to Willow (261st ) Street.
  • EDD will also be working in the alley between Oak and Pine Streets from Railway Avenue to Third Street, then between Pine and Main Streets from Railway Avenue to Third Street. Drop crews will plow lines to premises behind the main line construction.
  • Travis Electric is scheduling installation of clamshells on homes and businesses in the town of Canistota. They will move to the rural part of the exchange when they have completed work in town.
