Scholarships

At Golden West, we understand how important it is to invest in technology. But it’s even more important to invest in the young leaders who will use that technology to shape our future.

It’s with an eye toward that future that Golden West created our Scholarship Program. Our scholarships help South Dakota students pursue degrees in a variety of fields at colleges, universities, and technical schools across the country. The Golden West Scholarship Program recognizes that the students of today will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Our program awards $1,000 scholarships to 45 graduating seniors, one in each of our exchanges and one at-large scholarship available to home-schooled students or those who live in our service area but attend a high school not covered by the program.

Please review the information and links below to learn more about eligiblity, schools, and requirements.

Only at-large students (those attending high schools outside the Golden West service area), may submit their application directly to Golden West, other students must obtain and submit applications through their school's guidance counselor.

Completed applications are due March 15, 2017.
