Serra Bettelyoun will receive a $1,000 Golden West Scholarship for 2022.
A 2022 graduate of Pine Ridge High School, Serra’s school activities include volleyball, track, and cross-country. She is a member of the Gifted and Talented Program and won the Ground Control Online Talent Show in 2020 for singing. Serra was selected by the 7G Foundation to sing the National Anthem at the 2021 Indigenous Bowl in Minneapolis. This fall, Serra plans to study Pre-Med Dental at Fort Lewis College, with the ultimate goal of opening her own dental practice in Pine Ridge someday.
