Project Updates:

October 16, 2025

  • MasTec has a directional drilling crew working along Himmelwright Road and private drives along Cascade Road.
  • A second bore crew is working along Forest Road and Jenny Road.
  • The mainline plow crews are working along Pine Shadows, Forest, and Jenny Roads.
  • Pre-rip crews will be working on Country View Road, Country View Drive, Ridgeview Drive, Pine Drive, Meadow Court, and private drives off Cascade Road.
  • Crews are rock sawing along Country View Road, Country View Drive, Ridgeview Drive, and private driveways off Cascade Road.
  • The crew burying lines to customer homes is still working in the Liberty Hills trailer court. They will be along Liberty Drive, Merchen Road, Patriot Drive, and Justice Drive.
  • Some residents have asked about the rock saw trenches. Golden West is committed to restoring the land where Fiber to the Home construction takes place. After one crew cuts the trench, it may be a few weeks before a second crew places cable inside it. As soon as the cable is buried, a cleanup crew immediately begins the process of restoring the land to its previous contours. Grass is seeded, which will take a variable amount of time to grow based on rainfall.
  • If you have questions about the Fiber to the Home project, please call Golden West at 1-855-888-7777 and ask for the engineering department.
